Mother's Rangoli Competition

Mother's Rangoli Competition
Wednesday, January 28, 2015

Mothers rarely get a chance to display their talent in the field of art, therefore we thought of giving a platform to the mother parents to showcase their talent. This was executed by way of  a Rangoli competition with the theme of Ganesh Chaturthi as it is an auspicious Hindu festival.

Hence 24th August, 2017, was the day chosen for the competition ( a day before Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations). A circular was given to parents with options of bulk SMS & Whats app to get registration from willing mother parents. More than 80 mother parents showed willingness to participate in the competition

At 9 A.M. the competition was inaugurated with Ganesh Stuti, Lamp-Lighting & Arti. Following this, the rules of competition were stated & event flow was informed to all contestants.

Competing mothers were issued tokens & allotted space of 3X3 Ft. each to make their rangoli's in the assembly hall. Contestants used different materials like Lessees, Flowers, Diyas, Dough Diyas, Grains, Pulse, Glass etc to express their best creativity by making spell binding Rangolis.

Students of class 9th and 10th made a mega Rangoli of Ganeshji under the able guidance of Ms. Shilpa Patel (Teacher).

Surprisingly, a father also participated & won a prize. Students also visited the competition venue and were amazed at the artwork. The competition was judged by our art teacher Mrs. Bhavna Rajpurohit & Mr. Pankaj Barot from Laxman Gyanpith. They found it difficult to judge 3 best Rangolis amongst the wonderful creations. Winners were chosen from 2 categories (Preprimary to 5th class & 6th to 10th Class) and were awarded a Gift & Certificate by Judges & Guests. All Participants were also given Participation Certificates.

Participant Mothers of two of our students shared their feedback on this occasion that how their children motivated them to participate and they expressed their gratitude to the school for giving them an opportunity to showcase their talent. A written feedback of participants was also taken followed by a group photograph to cherish the memory in future.

In the end, Principal Sir extended a vote of thanks with best wishes for the  Ganesh festival.
